Where do I get my Summer Reading book?
Current BSHS students: Summer reading books have been checked out to students through the BSHS library. Each academy will had a reveal/distribution event on April 29th and any books not picked up by the end of the school year are located with Ms. Begley in the library.

Incoming Freshmen: Summer reading books have been checked out to you and sent to your middle school. If you do not receive a book, books can be checked out at Bryan Station High School in the library.

What is the Summer Reading Project Based Learning (PBL) Day?
The Summer Reading Project Based Learning (PBL) Day is an academy learning event during which students engage in a cross-curricular learning interactive experience with their academies. We hosted one in the spring (May 20th) and have one planned in the fall (August 22nd.) Students immerse themselves in the themes of their academy's summer reading book while building academy identity and culture.

When should I finish reading my book?
You should be finished reading your book by Thursday, August 22, 2019 for the Summer Reading Project Based Learning (PBL) Day.

When is the Summer Reading Assignment due?
Your summer reading work is due to your flex teacher on the morning of Thursday, August 22, 2019 – the day of the Summer Reading Project Based Learning (PBL) Day.

When and where do I turn in my summer reading assignment?
You will turn in your summer reading assignment to your flex teacher on Thursday, August 22, 2019 –the day of the Summer Reading Project Based Learning (PBL) Day.

Where and when do I turn in my Summer Reading book?
All books will be collected through flex. Students should turn their books into their flex teacher on Thursday, August 22, 2019.

Is the Summer Reading assignment and Summer Reading Project Based Learning (PBL) day a performance grade?
Yes. You will receive grades in multiple classes, including English and your academy electives for your summer reading work.
